Although our apprenticeship roles are currently filled, we really value the enthusiasm and interest shown by everyone who attended.

West End Garage Skoda Update
Great to be on site with Jenkins Fabrications this week as the steelwork comes together on our extension project at West End Garage, Stirling.
Their team have been involved from the early design stage right through to fabrication and installation, and the results speak for themselves. The steel arrived on programme, the workmanship is excellent, and the collaboration across both teams has kept the project moving smoothly.

Winners of The Build Fife Programme
We’re incredibly proud to share InvestFife’s announcement celebrating the conclusion of the Build Fife 2026 Programme — and even more honoured that our own Sarah Driscoll was named this year’s presentation winner!
This programme has been a fantastic opportunity for Alltec Construction, helping us strengthen our capabilities, deepen our industry connections, and explore new pathways for growth across Fife’s construction sector.
A huge thank you to everyone who made Build Fife such a valuable experience:
Fife Council, InvestFife, and Hub East Central Scotland for designing and delivering a programme that truly supports local businesses.
All the facilitators and trainers who shared their expertise and helped us grow week after week.
The Tier 1 contractors who generously attended and shared real insight into how they operate and real world experience.
One of the biggest bonuses has been meeting so many fantastic local businesses — the networking, collaboration and shared learning have been invaluable, and we’re proud to be part of such a supportive community.
Programmes like Build Fife genuinely strengthen the local construction sector, and we’re grateful to have been involved.

New Contract Award – Forestry and Land Scotland
Alltec Construction are delighted to confirm the award of a new framework contract with Forestry and Land Scotland.
Having previously delivered building maintenance services across the whole of Scotland for Forestry and Land Scotland, the new contract structure has now been divided into eight regional areas. Contractors were invited to bid for a maximum of four regions.
We are proud to have secured first place in the North East region, while also achieving second place rankings in the East, Central and South East regions, narrowly missing out on first place by just 0.31 points.
Maintaining a strong partnership with Forestry and Land Scotland is something we value greatly. Their estate spans some of the most important natural environments in the country, and we are proud to play our part in supporting the maintenance and improvement of these facilities.
Alltec Construction look forward to continuing our work with Forestry and Land Scotland and providing the high standard of service and reliability that our clients have come to expect.
New Contract Award – Barratt East Scotland Facilities Maintenance
Alltec Construction are pleased to confirm the award of a new five-year Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) contract with Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes.
Our relationship with Barratt East Scotland began when Alltec Construction carried out a full refurbishment of their main Edinburgh office, delivering a modern working environment for their team. Following the successful completion of the refurbishment, Alltec were awarded a five-year PPM contract to maintain the facility.
With that contract concluding in November 2025, Alltec Construction submitted a bid to continue providing facilities maintenance services for the site. We are delighted to confirm that we have been successful in securing the new five-year contract, allowing us to continue supporting Barratt East Scotland with the ongoing maintenance of their office facilities.
Maintaining long-term relationships with our clients is something we take great pride in. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Barratt East Scotland and delivering the reliable, high-quality service they have come to expect from Alltec Construction.

Partnership with Connekt EV Charging
We’ve recently supported the delivery of 3 new public EV charging installations for Connekt EV Charging as part of their ongoing rollout across rural Scotland.
Working alongside Alltec Energy, our team at Alltec Construction carried out the associated groundworks at the latest sites in Ullapool, Fort William and Golspie. Works included excavation, ducting, concrete foundations and reinstatement to support the installation of the new charging infrastructure.
Further locations in Grantown-on-Spey and Wick are programmed over the coming weeks.
It’s encouraging to see sustained investment in rural infrastructure. The transition to EV only succeeds when the supporting civil engineering and electrical infrastructure is delivered reliably and at scale — not just in urban centres, but across the Highlands and beyond.
We’re pleased to be playing our part in enabling the expansion of the charging network and look forward to continuing to support Connekt EV Charging as their programme progresses.
Alltec Attend Girls in Energy Event
Alltec Construction and Alltec Energy were delighted to attend the Girls in Energy event at Fife College today, delivered in partnership with Shell UK.
The event brought together young women participating in the Girls in Energy programme, alongside students from across the wider college, to explore career opportunities within the energy and construction sectors. The initiative continues to play an important role in encouraging greater female representation within industries that have traditionally been male-dominated.
Our team hosted an interactive stall throughout the day, creating an engaging environment for open discussion. The format allowed us to speak directly with students about:
• Career pathways into construction and renewable energy
• Apprenticeship and trainee opportunities
• The breadth of roles available across project delivery, engineering, design, and energy services
• Real-life examples of projects delivered by Alltec
The level of engagement was extremely positive, with students showing genuine interest in understanding how the built environment and energy sectors operate in practice, and what skills and qualifications are required to enter the industry.
At Alltec Construction and Alltec Energy, we recognise the importance of early engagement, industry visibility, and supporting initiatives that widen access to careers. Events such as Girls in Energy provide a valuable platform to inspire the next generation and strengthen the future talent pipeline.
We would like to thank Shell UK and Fife College for organising such a well-structured and impactful event, and we look forward to supporting similar initiatives in the future.

Company Projects: Ferguson Vet Clinic
Alltec Construction is delighted to share the completion of the Ferguson Vet Clinic.
Owner John Ferguson approached Alltec Construction after his previous contractor went into administration mid-build, leaving the project incomplete and the programme significantly delayed. We were appointed to take over and deliver the project through to completion, ensuring the clinic could finally open its doors.
Taking over a live project in these circumstances presented a number of challenges. With incomplete information and varying stages of works already undertaken, our team first had to carry out a detailed assessment of the existing build. In several areas, this meant going backwards before we could move forward — reviewing workmanship, verifying compliance, and in some cases rectifying elements to ensure the final facility met the required standards.
Time was a critical factor. The client had already experienced considerable delays, so our priority was to establish a clear programme, coordinate trades efficiently, and accelerate progress wherever possible without compromising on quality.
The end result is a modern, high-quality veterinary clinic that both the client and our team are immensely proud of. The project’s success was further recognised when the clinic won the New Build Category, as well as being named Overall Winner at these prestigious awards — a testament to the quality of the finished facility.
We are also pleased to share that the clinic has recently celebrated its first anniversary of trading, marking a full year of serving the local community from its new purpose-built premises.
A fantastic outcome for the client and a project that demonstrates Alltec Construction’s ability to step in, stabilise challenging situations, and deliver exceptional results.
Company News: Alltec Construction Attend Fife Chamber’s First Coffee Connection of the Year
Alltec Construction recently attended the Fife Chamber of Commerce’s first Coffee Connection event of the year, held at the Adam Smith Theatre. It was a busy and well-attended morning, providing a great opportunity to meet and connect with a range of local businesses from across Fife.
Events like these are invaluable for building relationships, sharing experiences, and strengthening links within the local business community. We enjoyed the informal networking setting and look forward to continuing our involvement with Fife Chamber events throughout the year.

National Apprenticeship Week is the perfect time to recognise not only this individual success, but also the wider importance of apprenticeships in strengthening the construction industry and creating long-term career opportunities. We’re delighted to support Kyle on his journey and look forward to seeing his continued progression as he builds his future with Alltec Construction.
Employee Spotlight: Celebrating Our Newly Qualified Electricians
Alltec Construction is proud to celebrate a major milestone for two of our team members during National Apprenticeship Week.
Both of our electrical apprentices have successfully passed their FICA two-day test, officially qualifying them as fully certified electricians. This achievement marks the culmination of years of hard work, commitment, and hands-on learning, combining technical training with real-world experience delivered on live projects across the business.
Apprenticeships play a vital role at Alltec Construction, allowing us to develop skilled tradespeople from within while maintaining the high standards our clients expect. Watching our apprentices progress into fully qualified electricians is a clear reflection of the strength of our in-house teams, mentoring, and investment in people.
Congratulations to both electricians on this well-earned achievement — we look forward to seeing the next stage of your careers develop with Alltec Construction.

Through this pledge, we will engage with local schools and partners to promote career pathways, share industry knowledge, and help create meaningful opportunities for young people across Fife. We look forward to playing our part in shaping the next generation of the workforce.
TeamSuccess: Alltec Complete First Aid Training
The Alltec Construction team has successfully completed their First Aid training, further strengthening our commitment to health, safety, and preparedness across all sites.
The session provided valuable hands-on experience, ensuring our team is confident in responding quickly and effectively in emergency situations. Joe proved to be a very willing volunteer throughout the training and was repeatedly used as the example—resulting in him being continuously wrapped up in bandages, much to the team’s amusement.
A great day of learning, teamwork, and practical skills. Well done to everyone involved for taking safety seriously while keeping the atmosphere positive and engaging.

Project Update: Škoda, SEAT & CUPRA Extension
Piling works have been successfully completed on site, carried out in collaboration with Burnside plant & piling contractors. A total of 15 steel-cased “mini piles” were installed, each with a diameter of 273 mm and an approximate depth of 18 m. Each pile incorporates a centralised 25 mm reinforcing bar and has been grouted with 50 N concrete, providing a solid and stable foundation for the extension.
This milestone enables the next phases of construction to progress smoothly, with the Alltec team working closely alongside our specialist contractors to maintain efficiency and quality.
Company News: New Year, New Workwear
Following Alltec Energy’s recent rebrand, we have upgraded our team’s workwear, introducing a new, refreshed uniform designed for comfort, practicality, and durability across all site operations.
The update was informed by direct staff engagement, with open conversations helping us understand what works best in the field. Feedback played a key role—particularly regarding our previous polo tops, which were considered too thick and uncomfortable in warmer conditions. The new lightweight, breathable polos enhance comfort and airflow while maintaining a professional appearance.
Staff were also given a choice between beanie hats and caps, acknowledging personal preference in day-to-day comfort. For colder or wetter conditions, high-quality waterproof yet breathable jackets have been introduced, offering reliable protection without compromising mobility or ease of movement.
This initiative demonstrates Alltec Energy’s commitment to listening to our workforce and providing practical, high-quality equipment that supports both wellbeing and performance on site.

Company Projects: Building Facade Refurbishment
Our team recently completed a restoration project on a building where a section of external rendering had fallen off, exposing the underlying structure.
The process involved carefully removing the damaged render, reapplying a fresh layer, allowing it to properly dry, and finishing with a high-quality paint application. The result is a durable, visually refreshed facade that restores both the building’s appearance and protection.
Company Project: Pipework Heat Trace
As temperatures begin to fall, Alltec Energy is emphasizing the importance of preparing pipework—both external and in unheated areas—for winter conditions. Unprotected pipes are highly susceptible to freezing, which can cause them to expand, crack, and even burst, resulting in costly repairs and operational disruption.
Recently, our team completed a project installing heat trace systems and pipe insulation to protect exposed pipework for one of our clients. This combination ensures consistent temperature regulation and reliable protection throughout the coldest months.
For any pipework located outdoors or in areas without regular heating, now is the time to ensure it is properly insulated and winter-ready. Alltec Energy is ready to assist with assessment, installation, and preventative maintenance, helping systems remain safe and efficient all season long.

Company Projects – Unblock Your Drainage Systems
Alltec Construction recently responded to a callout from a long-standing and valued client experiencing persistent flooding in their car park. Upon inspection, our team identified that the drainage system had become heavily obstructed with seasonal debris, including leaves and general buildup—an issue that is particularly common at this time of year.
Our operatives carried out a full clean-out of the all car park drains, restoring proper water flow and resolving the flooding concern. The surrounding area was then swept, tidied, and left in a clean, safe, and completely puddle-free condition.
This job highlights the importance of regular drainage maintenance as we move through the autumn and winter months, and reinforces Alltec Construction’s commitment to delivering prompt, effective solutions for our clients.
Team Success: Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling and Working at Height Training
Alltec Energy is proud to announce that every member of our site team has successfully completed Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling, and Working at Height training.
This milestone reinforces our commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards across all operations, ensuring our workforce remains knowledgeable, competent, and fully compliant with current regulations. The training equips employees to identify potential hazards, handle materials safely, and work confidently at height.
We commend the team for their dedication to sustaining a safe working environment and upholding the rigorous safety standards that define Alltec Energy.

Company News: New Fence Panel Covers
Alltec Energy has upgraded its sites with brand-new HERAS fencing panel covers, supplied by Monster Mesh. The new covers are already making a strong impression, promoting our brand while maintaining a professional and tidy appearance for the public.
In addition to boosting visual appeal, the covers contribute to improved site safety and organisation, reflecting the high standards and attention to detail that Alltec Energy brings to every project.
Company News: Supporting Andys Man Club at Alltec Construction
At Alltec Energy, supporting positive mental health and wellbeing remains a core priority. This week, we reinforced that commitment by partnering with Andys Man Club Scotland, a leading organisation dedicated to men’s mental health and suicide prevention.
As part of the initiative, posters have been displayed across our sites and welfare areas, alongside easily accessible pamphlets and discreet pocket-sized cards supplied by Andys Man Club. These resources are available for anyone seeking support or wishing to share guidance with colleagues, friends, or family members who may be struggling.
By working with Andys Man Club, Alltec Energy aims to encourage open conversations about mental wellbeing, raise awareness, and reduce stigma—ensuring that no one has to face challenging times alone. Together, we can make a difference, one conversation at a time.

Company News: 'Tis the Season for External Lighting
As the darker months approach, Alltec Energy has been enhancing site safety and visibility by upgrading existing floodlights to energy-efficient LED systems.
The new lighting not only improves visibility for teams working in low-light conditions but also reduces energy consumption, helping sites remain cost-effective and winter-ready.
With brighter, more sustainable lighting in place, Alltec Energy is ensuring safer and more efficient operations through the season.
Company News: Alltec Christmas Spirt is Up!
The festive season is officially underway at Alltec Energy, with our Christmas tree now proudly on display. Each year, we add a personal touch with unique tree toppers, and this year Blair takes the spotlight as our shining star, while Daniel stars as the angel.
In addition, we revisited photos of previous angels, celebrating the creativity and festive cheer that have become part of our annual tradition.
A special thank you goes to Kirsty for her efforts in making our tree truly spectacular—bringing the Christmas spirit to life across our office. The tree is a bright and joyful start to the season for the entire Alltec Energy team.
